Quality as a delivery habit
A QA phase is a confession that quality was optional until now. Put tests where failure is expensive.

The most expensive bugs are not the visual ones. They are the double charge, the missing permission, the migration that cannot be reversed. Quality work starts by listing those.
Automate contracts and pure logic. Automate a few user journeys that pay the company. Explore the rest. A thousand flaky UI tests are not a strategy. They are a dashboard that people mute.
Performance and accessibility are quality. If the page is slow, or a keyboard user cannot finish, the feature did not ship. It appeared.
Release confidence is a practiced rollback and a smoke path, not a feeling in a standup. Feature flags are not sophistication. They are manners.
When we say engineering with discipline, this is the daily version: a suite people still run, and a person who still looks.
