Challenge
Instructors were pasting content into a LMS they did not control. Assessment was a score. The institution wanted a product they could actually teach with.
Approach
Design for the instructor first. Authoring with versions. Cohorts as a first-class object. Accessibility in the pipeline. SIS integration as a façade.
Solution
A sample SaaS: a course runtime, an authoring tool, and a registrar-facing admin. The LMS remains for what it is good at; Lumen holds the teaching product.
